On July 13, 2018 we were excited to unveil the “Arch on Old Falls” created by local artist and sculptor, Jesse Walp. This public art piece was commissioned by USA Niagara Development, taking over a year to plan, materialize and complete.
The “arch” was installed with a team of helpers, and now sits at the corner of Old Falls Street and First Street for onlookers to enjoy. Use this link to see the full gallery of photos, including a short video prepared by Villa Maria College documenting the project.
Production Notes: The work is 14 feet wide and 26 feet tall. Jesse Walp received help from his colleagues Cory Butler, Travis Mills and Cooper McDonald. The metal tubes were bent and fabricated by Jentsch & Co. of Buffalo.
The Events Team for Old Falls Street, USA is excited to present and promote a busy 2018 season, and we are looking for a group of enthusiastic, friendly individuals to join our team!
We interview and hire a mix of individuals for (2) particular positions, and there are only minor differences between the two: (click on each to view job description)
Our staff helps us on many tasks, and the student interns also do planning for a few special events in order to get extra experience in hospitality and event management. We are now welcoming applications for our 2018 team, from both students and non-students. All that is required is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Spectra manages Old Falls Street, USA and the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, as well as more than 120 other public assembly facilities around the world.
The Events Team for Old Falls Street, USA is seeking restaurants, food trucks, food trailers and food carts to showcase their high-quality food options at several special events during our 2018 summer season.
For many of these events, the street is closed to vehicle traffic and a festival atmosphere takes over the cobblestone street. We welcome a mix of different food menus, and we add music and other entertainment to support the celebratory mood.

Food vending spaces are available for rent on these days, and each applicant must have a valid City of Niagara Falls vending license, County health permit and proof of business insurance. Application here, again.

Niagara Falls, NY (February 2018) – Old Falls Street, USA is calling for local food vendors interested in selling their food products during the 2018 tourist season from May through September. Space is limited, and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all available spots are filled. The application is available from the Old Falls Street management team by emailing email@example.com, or by downloading below.
This application period is for food vendors that will be placed in the same location for daily vending throughout the entire season. Later in the spring, there will be opportunities for food vendors to apply to “event only” vending on designated weekends or special events. Placement is not guaranteed; all applications must be reviewed, and approved.
Old Falls Street, USA is the three-block entertainment district that connects Niagara Falls State Park with hotels and attractions in downtown Niagara Falls, NY. This dynamic public space attracts a variety of residents and out-of-town visitors while providing exciting opportunities for seasonal food vending, daily interactive games, festivals, concerts and other free family-friendly activities throughout the year. Each weekend, the street comes alive with Thursday outdoor movies, Friday music concerts and “Free Family Fun” activities on Saturday afternoons. These events, and more, continue to help make the street the “Community Welcome Center” of Niagara Falls.

The number of food vendors has grown slightly each year, and more quality options will be added each season as space allows.

The first annual “Jingle Falls USA” was a great example of community partners coming together to promote Niagara Falls. During the first (3) Saturdays of December, activities were planned for both inside and outside, and Old Falls Street was decorated in holiday lights and filled with large ornaments and a holiday tree.
